Online Public Health Major

The Online Public Health Major at Youngstown State University offers a flexible and fully online Bachelor of Science in Applied Science degree designed to prepare students for careers in public health. The program equips students with essential skills in five key areas: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Administration, Environmental Health, and Behavioral Science/Health Education. Students can choose between two tracks: Environmental Health and Safety, focusing on environmental regulations and community health concerns, or Health Education/Health Promotion, which emphasizes public health education and crisis management. The program requires a total of 127 credit hours and can be completed in two, three, or four years, allowing for a tailored educational experience. Additionally, students have the option to pursue a Master of Public Health degree through an accelerated 4+1 program after completing their bachelor's degree.
