RN to BSN Online

The RN to BSN Online program, known as BSN@Home, at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is designed for registered nurses holding an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a diploma in nursing. This flexible program allows working adults to complete their bachelor’s degree entirely online, accommodating their busy schedules. The curriculum builds on existing nursing knowledge, enhancing critical thinking and leadership skills essential for advanced nursing roles. Students can expect to complete 24-30 credits of required coursework over a period of 1.5 to 2.5 years, depending on their pace. The program includes one required clinical component, which involves approximately 60 hours of practical experience at a site chosen by the student. The BSN@Home program is accredited and prepares graduates for various opportunities in nursing, including management and specialization roles, as well as eligibility for graduate nursing programs.
