Master of Laws

The Master of Laws at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is a postgraduate program designed for aspiring law professionals and practicing lawyers. This online degree allows students to enhance their legal knowledge and skills, building upon prior qualifications such as a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor. The program can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time, offering flexibility to accommodate working professionals. Students can choose from five specializations: Commercial Law, Family Law, International Law, Legal Practice, or Public Law, and have the opportunity to undertake a research project on a topic of their choice. The curriculum includes a variety of elective courses, allowing students to tailor their education to their career goals. With a strong emphasis on contemporary legal issues, the Master of Laws prepares graduates for advanced roles in legal practice, public policy, and international organizations, as well as further academic pursuits such as a PhD.
