Master of Social Work

The Online Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Denver is designed for aspiring social workers who aim to advance equity and social justice across communities. This program offers two tracks: the standard MSW, which can be completed in approximately 27 months, and the Advanced-Standing MSW, which is designed for those with a prior degree in social work and can be completed in as few as 18 months. Students will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes 81 graduate-level credits and 900 hours of fieldwork for the standard track, or 54 credits and 500 hours for the advanced track. The program emphasizes critical thinking and creative problem-solving, preparing graduates for diverse roles in social work. With a focus on hands-on experience through field internships, students are equipped to advocate for marginalized populations and challenge systemic oppression in various settings.
