Bachelor of Software Engineering Honours

The Bachelor of Software Engineering Honours (BSEHons) program at The Open University of Sri Lanka is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the software engineering field. Spanning a minimum of four years, the program adheres to ACM/IEEE curriculum guidelines and focuses on the design, construction, and implementation of complex software systems. Students will engage in core units covering computer science, programming, software engineering, mathematics, and quality assurance. The program emphasizes communication skills and includes opportunities for internships through partnerships with industry leaders. The delivery model is primarily online, utilizing a Learner Management System for course materials and support, with on-site activities arranged at regional centers when possible. Graduates will be prepared for roles such as software architects, system analysts, and QA engineers, addressing the growing demand in the software industry.
