Nursing Practice, DNP

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Florida State University is designed to equip nursing professionals with the highest level of clinical practice skills. This online program prepares students for roles such as Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The curriculum consists of 41-79 credit hours, with courses delivered fully online, complemented by five in-person sessions at the Tallahassee campus. These on-campus experiences include orientation, intensive skills training, clinical assessments, and a DNP project presentation. Students will also engage with local preceptors to fulfill practicum requirements, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience that bridges theory and practice.
