International Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine

The International Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine (I-PGDFM) is a two-year blended learning program designed for international doctors serving in low and middle-income countries. This course aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of general practitioners in family medicine, focusing on comprehensive medical and preventive care. The curriculum includes online self-learning modules, video lectures, and hands-on training at dedicated contact centers. Students will engage in project work and complete assignments throughout the course. The program emphasizes a patient-centered approach to healthcare, aiming to reduce referrals and improve local healthcare delivery. The I-PGDFM is an accredited initiative by the Distance Education Unit of Christian Medical College, Vellore, in collaboration with Loma Linda University, USA. It is designed to equip physicians with the necessary competencies to serve their communities effectively, with a maximum completion period of four years.
